The unemployment rate remained at 6.6% in November, for the third consecutive month, and increased by 0.1 percentage points compared to the same month in 2022, according to provisional data from INE, released today.
“The unemployment rate remained at 6.6% for the third month running, having risen compared to three months earlier (0.3 percentage points) and the same month of the previous year (0.1 percentage points),” noted the National Statistics Institute (INE), which published provisional employment and unemployment data for November.
There were 348,500 unemployed that month, a decrease of 1.1% compared to October and an increase of 4% and 3.4% compared to August 2023 and November 2022, respectively.
